Allergy testing involves having a skin or blood test to find out what substance, or allergen, may trigger an allergic response in a person. Skin tests are usually done because they are rapid, reliable, and generally less expensive than blood tests, but either type of test may be used.
Fine lines, discoloration, acne scars, large pores, broken blood vessels, and age spots -- you name it, lasers, or microscopic beams of light, have the power to help correct it. Lasers use heat (and light) to stimulate the growth of fibroblasts, which are precursors to new collagen in the skin. More collagen means firmer, fresher, younger-looking skin. There are two main types.
  1. Ablative lasers take off the surface of the skin and can result in scabbing, significant downtime (up to two weeks), and some discomfort. Your skin may be red, raw, and oozing, but once that passes, deep acne scars and troublesome wrinkles will be drastically reduced.
  2. Non-ablative lasers don't break the surface of the skin and are generally gentler options, leaving mostly mild redness and irritation. Some work after just one session, but many take a few appointments to achieve the end results.
There are many factors affecting your skin. Some of the following health and life style changes will help you in reaching your goal of Health Skin.
  1. Cherry angiomas
If you are bothered by these individual red dots, your dermatologist can use a laser to remove them. It's a fast and simple procedure, and the results are usually permanent.
  2. Sun spots
You can try to lighten sun spots at home with a bleaching cream, available over the counter. If that doesn't do the trick, your dermatologist may try lasers or chemical peels. Once you do get rid of sun spots, it's important to be diligent about sun protection or they'll come right back. Daily sunscreen is a must, whatever your plans.
  3. Skin tags
A dermatologist can cut off the skin tag or freeze it off using liquid nitrogen, the same way a wart is removed. There's a slight stinging or burning sensation while the liquid nitrogen is being applied and while the tag thaws. You can take a pain reliever but most people don't need to.
  4. White spots
There's not much you can do for white spots. While there are ways to remove pigment safely, there is no good method for adding it back to an area where you've lost it.
